Wucee Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Wucee, where we turn ideas into websites and keep them running smoothly—provided you keep up with the payments! These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline how our website building and hosting services work. By using our services, you agree to the following terms (so best give them a read!).
2. Services We Provide
Wucee builds and hosts high-quality websites, typically priced at £2,500. We charge a low-cost setup fee (up to £500, depending on the complexity of the site) and then spread the remaining cost across monthly payments.
What’s Included?
- Website design & build – handcrafted with care (no DIY disasters here).
- Hosting – so your site actually stays online.
- 30 minutes of maintenance/support per month – just enough to tweak, fix, or answer your burning website questions.
- Upgrade options – need more help? We offer 3 hours of support per month for £80 or an hourly rate of £40 per hour (minimum 1 hour).
- Professional email accounts – our packages include a set number of email accounts, but you can add as many as you like! Additional email accounts beyond your package are charged at just £3 per email per month. Storage upgrades are also available. If you decide to move away from Wucee, you may need to transfer or set up new email hosting, as our email services are tied to our hosting platform.
3. Payment Terms (Let’s Talk Money)
- Your monthly payments help cover the cost of your website build and hosting. The payment term is usually 24 months, but this depends on the package you choose.
- Miss a payment? No problem… for about 4 weeks. We’ll send you polite (but firm) email reminders. After 5 weeks of no payment, your website goes into hibernation mode (a.k.a. suspended).
- If your direct debit is canceled without 1 month’s notice, your website will automatically be suspended.
- Need extra support? No worries, we’ve got bolt-on packages for that.
4. Website Ownership & Transfer
Here’s the deal: Wucee owns the website until the full balance is paid. Think of it as a high-tech version of paying off a car—once you’ve covered the full cost, it’s yours to drive anywhere.
When your website is fully paid, you can:
- Stay with us and continue on your package even have a new website.
- Change to a different Wucee package (if you fancy a refresh).
- Move to another provider – we won’t take it personally, but we do charge a fee to assist with the transfer.
If you cancel before the balance is paid, you forfeit ownership of the website. (Ouch, but fair.)
Need a break? You can pause your account or reinstate services later (once your balance is clear).
Important Note: If you decide to leave us, some of the professional plugin subscriptions we use to enhance your website may not transfer with you. This could affect your website’s functionality, and you will need to purchase these separately. We’re more than happy to tell you which ones they are so you can plan accordingly.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
We like to keep things simple—no refunds.
If you cancel early, Wucee keeps ownership of the website and all content on it. So, if you’re thinking of jumping ship, make sure you understand what that means.
6. Website Content & Restrictions
We’re all for creativity, but there are some things we just won’t allow on our servers. Your website must NOT contain:
- Illegal content – no fraud, hacking tools, or dodgy dealings.
- Copyrighted material – unless you have the proper permissions.
If your website breaks these rules, we have the right to suspend or terminate it immediately—and we won’t be offering a refund!
7. Content Ownership
- We can provide stock images, but we recommend you supply your own for a truly unique website.
- Until your balance is fully paid, all text, images, and branding belong to Wucee.
- Once paid in full, all your content is yours to keep or take elsewhere.
8. Hosting, Uptime & Liability
We aim for 99% uptime because no one likes a downed website. However, we rely on third-party servers, meaning:
- We’ll work to restore downtime ASAP, but some things (like server outages) are out of our hands.
- We cannot be held responsible for data loss or security breaches caused by external hosting providers.
That said, we’ll always do our best to keep your website safe, secure, and running smoothly.
9. Changes to These Terms
We might tweak these Terms and Conditions from time to time—hopefully for the better! If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know. Keep an eye on our updates to stay informed.
